“Tough Cookie” (the mouse 🐭 ) is a crossover character as in addition to appearing in all of the Technology Skills for Kids picture books, Tuffy also appears in Tech Wizard Mike’s children’s picture books about friendship and kindness (including Sally Book Bunny and the Search for the Lost Key).
The female chef 👩🍳 in the illustration represents the menu technology tool. Illustrator Tanya pleasantly surprised your favorite Tech Wizard scribe (me!) by putting her on the soapbox with the Tech Wizard character, Tough Cookie and Tabby Cat.
It was also Tanya’s idea to make her a blonde as we already had several other dark-haired female characters and one redhead 👩🦰
