Artist Charissa had agreed to illustrate “Sally Book Bunny and the Search for the Lost Key” but left the project after completing the front cover and illustrations for three pages.
Charissa had been hired on a per page basis because Tech Wizard Mike could not afford to pay for all of the illustrations at once. This being the case, when Charissa quit the project, this writer / illustrator partnership came to an abrupt end.
Mike the Wizard had full ownership of the cover art and the three book illustrations (because he had paid for them individually) and here they are…



What happened next?
Your favorite children’s book self-publishing tour guide was disappointed (Boo Hoo 😢) but really the only thing to do was to engage another artist through upwork.com.
After reviewing the portfolios of the artists who applied for the job, Mike the Wizard Author selected Ashmita Nandy 🇮🇳 who immediately got to work ✍️
