Judith’s illustration visually conveys several of the themes present in my children’s picture books about friendships (Tech Wizard Mike Tales) and Technology Skills for Kids picture books:
- methodical procedure
- getting good help
- note-taking
But something I missed in Judith’s sketch but was readily apparent in the finished version 🎨 is that the characters roles were switched.
(This illustration is based on a real-life incident as I actually had a heck of a time learning how to make coffee ☕️ and needed several lessons.)
The Tech Wizard Mike character also looks imperious 🧐 — which would be out of character for him (and the real-life Tech Wizard Mike).
I asked Judith to switch them and she readily complied.
Judith also thoughtfully changed the position and pose of Tabby Cat =^.^=
Good friends and great coffee make the perfect blend.
